ILLUMINATE LA’S COLLECTIVE MEMORY INSTALLATION
I had the honor to be selected to exhibit three pieces of artwork in Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles as part of L.A. County’s Collective Memory Installation, to share diverse community experiences and perspectives, highlight underrepresented histories, and celebrate the dynamic culture of our region. The digital exhibition, which was on display at Grand Park in DTLA from Feb. 25 to March 18, 2023 showcased art pieces by 100 local artists reflecting on the collective history of Los Angeles County, and was presented by the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture in partnership with Grand Park and the Music Center.

CARDS: I Think Therefore I Question...
My Friend Cooper invited me to participate on the creation of this set of cards. I Think Therefore I Question is more than just words on paper. It's more than manufactured questions generated by co-workers in a think tank. This deck is an expression of Cooper Bates’ cumulative lifetime of experiences, interactions, and friendships amassed on a deck of cards. 60 cards, with 60 thoughtful if not eccentric questions crafted to mine entertaining unexpected answers, interesting conversations, and a whole lot of fun.

Movie Props
THIS ARE NOT REAL PRODUCTS. It was a fun and quick turn-around project to conceptualize, and design some Movie Props for my daughter’s movie production needs.

The Wine-Dark Sea Noods Radio
Website: https://www.courtneyyusuf.com/radio/
I was honored to have my Palestine poster art be part of The Wine Dark Sea Radio by Courtney Yusuf. The Wine-Dark Sea is a sonic cruise around the Mediterranean. From ancient rhythms to beach-club beats, each show explores a different musical genre and the world from which it came.
SETENTA
Under the direction of Professor Paul De Castro, the Cal State LA Afro Latin Ensemble has released its second album, Setenta. A passionate, sophisticated work that revels in its cultural tradition. Breezy flutes and bright trumpets, nimble and intricate percussion work and a sultry modern take on Leonard Bernstein’s “Maria” are just a few of the delights this fun album.
I was honored to have been invited to create artwork for the SETENTA music CD. Above CD case, T-shirt and coffee cups. Please listen a sample below.
